Passed down through generations, this simple Mac + Cheese is tasty and very easy to make. Kid-friendly and easy to change to lactose-free if needed!

Ingredients

  • 4 Tbsp Butter
  • 4 Tbsp Flour
  • 2 cups milk
  • Salt + Pepper
  • 2 Cups Cheese of Choice (I used shredded Old Fort)
  • Pasta of choice (one bag - 900g)

Instructions

  1. Cook pasta according to instructions al dente.
  2. Make your roux. Add butter to pan and melt over medium heat. Add flour and mix. Whisk in milk. Stir until thickened. Add cheese. Add salt and pepper. Once melted, remove from heat.
  3. Add cheese sauce to pasta.
  4. Mix in. Top with cheese and bake at 350 for 15-20 minutes. Switch to broil for a few minutes and get that cheese bubbly and crispy!
  5. Serve and enjoy!
